We talked about ''First date'' last class.
It was a lot of fun to know dating culture in various countries.
They have own characteristic about first date each countries.
For example, in Cameroon should'nt talk about money on a first date or in England should'nt talk about yourself all the time and so on.....
How about in US???? Do you have like kind of taboo?
I don't know about Japan but I think Japanese people have their own taboo talk themselves.
in my case, about money is taboo.
I think it is rude to ask on a first date and of course about ex-boyfriend or girlfriend too!!!haha
How about the place? Where do you usually to go??
In Japan maybe go to dinner, walk around the park or movie is acceptable.

That is a very interesting thing to talk about in class.
As far as I know there aren't any specific taboos but if you are going out to dinner the guy usually leaves a nice tip for the server in order to seem like he is generous. For me a taboo would be to brag about yourself or to talk about an ex-girlfriend.
For first dates, I think coffee shops, dinner, or movies are good places to meet. I prefer a coffee shop meeting or a dinner meeting.
I also think to talk about brag is not good on a frist date.
I have a curious thing that about heve you kissed or something to do berore you have relationship with your boyfriend???
we had a survey in the class about that and it was also interesting result.
a few students have kissed on the first dating and few students have done sexual thing.hahaha

personally, i have never kissed (or anything else) on or before a first date. but i know a lot of people do that especially if they have been drinking.
