school and holiday!

hello! How are U everyone?

This Friday is the last day of my school!!
And I'm going to have a winter holidey : )

I have many plan to do.

First, I'm going to snowboarding with my family.
I first started it when I was about 10 years old.
Since that time my family go to snowboarding every year least one or twice.

Secondly, I'm going to eat a puffer.
Winter is a very good season for eating a puffer.
In this year, my boyfrend and my two brother's girl friends are going to go together with my family, so I'm very looking forwerd to it!

Finary, I have to get prepar to go to Australia, because I'm going to go there in next year as a exchange student.
I think it will be a haed job :(

クリスマスとお正月★ それから宗教について！！

もうすぐクリスマスですね！！
ご存知の通り、日本のクリスマスは恋人達の日なんです★
私達の多くは仏教徒なので、宗教的には全く関係はないのですが、イベントの一つとして楽しんでます。
私の予定はというと…彼とのデートです★☆
実は付き合ってちょうど２年の記念日なのでちょっと高級なレストランにお食事に行く予定です！！

日本と欧米の文化では、クリスマスのすごし方も違うけど、お正月も違いますね。

日本のお正月は基本的に家族で過ごすのが一般的です。
最近では恋人や友達と過ごす人達もいるようですが…

それより、面白いのは、私達は元旦の日に神社へ初詣に出かけるのですが、そては神教の行事なのです。神教と仏教は同じではありません。　私の家は浄土真宗という仏教の家ですが、何故かお正月は神教になります。ほとんどの家でこのような事が行われています。

何故か分かりますか？
私は日本人の宗教心の強さが問題なのだと思います。
信じられないかもしれませんが、多くの日本人が宗教を信仰していません。
逆に、何かの宗教に入っている人達は怪しまれたりします。
なぜならば、いかがわしい宗教団体が多く存在するからです。
数年前にはオウム心理教という宗教団体が地下鉄でサリンという毒物をばら撒いて多くの人を殺しました。

人間にとって宗教は必要な物なのでしょうか？
私はよく分かりません。
宗教のおかげで多くの人か救われているのも事実だと思いますが、
一方で、戦争などが起こり多くの人が殺されたのも事実です。

少し難しくなってしまいましたが、良ければ考えを聞かせてください！！

christmas and new years plans

hi everyone~ hope you are doing well. christmas and the new year are soon approaching. i am going to be going to spend time with my family and maybe go on a trip somewhere. i am looking forward to a nice vacation. how about you? do you have any interesting plans for christmas and/or new years?

卒業

もうすぐ大学は終わり。来週の木曜日、最後の期末試験があります。　幸せですけどもっと不安になります。最近、仕事を見つけます・・・とても大変です。
絶対信じられません。３年前、MSUに入った時、若すぎました。違う人になりました。たくさんいい経験がありました。
今日、卒業論文を出しました。とても嬉しかったです。大声で、｢できた！｣って言っていました。
皆さん、卒業どう思いますか？

もうすぐクリスマス♪

もう１２月に入ってきて日本は少しづつ寒くなってきました(>_<)
アメリカのほうはどうですか？？
私は去年の今頃ＮＹにいましたが、めちゃくちゃ寒かったです。。。
初めて１２月にボストンに旅行に行ったとき、産まれて初めて体感するような温度でした！！
泣いたり、鼻水たらしたらすぐに凍っちゃう感じ？！ｗ

ところでアメリカは最近１０月にハロウィンがあったり、１１月にはサンクスギビングデイがあったりと行事続きでしたが、今月はクリスマスがありますほ★☆
みんなは毎年どうやって過ごすのかな？？
私が去年アメリカにいて驚いたのは、クリスマスが近づくにつれて街の飾りつけとかぐごくかわいくなったりして素敵な雰囲気だったんだけど、それは日本も同じで、驚いたってゆうのはクリスマス当日。
私は学校の友達とホームパーティーを開いたんだけど街でたりもしてしてクリスマス気分を味わおうと思ったら・・・・あんまり人は外にはでてなくて、みんな家でゆっくりすごしてるみたい。
日本ではクリスマスは恋人同士の為の日で、街はすごくにぎわっているの☆
そうゆう感覚は日本だけなのかな？？

今年はみなさんどうやってクリスマスを過ごしますか？？

I'm doing this blog is because it was my homewark, but I'm enjoy it now :)

Making a small pizza is pretty easy, so I think u can make it even u don't cook often!
U said that it is interesting choice that I put a salmon and an avocado in pizza, but 4 me it is very interesting that u said so :)
Actually, a salmon and an avocado is my favorite food! So, I really often eat them together!

Now, I would like to answer your questions!
At first, UZURA(鶉) is a bird. thier eggs is small about 2cm. The color is gray and has some pattern on it, like a marble. The taste is same as nomal eggs. I used UZURA's egge because the size is very good 4 my small pizza :)

Next, we don' t have a thanks giving day in japan. That's why, I don't know what exactly like : (
I migth tell u that we have a similar event if I know more about a thanks giving day.
Could u tell me more deatails of it? I only understand that u eat a lot of delicious food! Watch your wate :)

By the way, can u understang wat is a GYOUZA's thin wrapping papar(餃子の皮）? And can u get it in US? I dictionaly tolled me GYOUSA is a Chinese-style dumpling in English. So, I think u could probably get it in a chinese shop. Please tell me if u can find it in US :)

ちっちゃピザとサンクスギビング

おいしいそうですね。もう直ぐ作ってみますね。しかし、僕なら何も料理ができません。毎日のように店屋物を買ったり、サンドイッチを作ったり、します。でも、まりなの分かりやすい説明のお通りにすればできるでしょうね。

一番面白いことがまりなの作った具です。「ツナ、コンビーフ、玉ねぎ、コーン、アボカド、ウインナー、鶉のたまご、ハム、ジャガイモ、ピクルス、マッシュルーム、スモークサーモン」と言っていました。本当に面白いですよ。アメリカではハムとかマッシュルームとかベバロニなどを作くことです。スモークサーモンやアボカドを食べたくないわけではないけど、その具はピザの店から注文ができないんです。自分のちっちゃピザを作る時スモークサーモンやアボカドを作ればいいでしょうね。そして、ウインナー鶉って何ですか。辞書で調べたけど、何も見つけなかったんです。どんなたまごですか。説明してください。

最後に、今週末はサンクスギビングでした。家族と一生にすばらしい晩ご飯を食べます。聞いたことありますありますか。サンクスギビングのせいで僕がふとりました。二回、食べ過ぎました。まず、家族と一生に食べ過ぎてしまいました。そして、次の日友達と一生に食べ過ぎてしまいました。でも、仕方がありません。サンクスギビングの点なんです。日本でサンクスギビングみたいな祭りがありますか。そして、あれば何をしますか。

ちっちゃピザパーティー☆

昨日の夜、家族と彼とで、ちっちゃピザパーティーをしました☆

ちっちゃピザとは餃子の皮をピザの生地に見立てて、ホットプレートで焼くちっちゃいピザです。
すごく簡単でおいしいのでとてもお勧めです。
お酒のおつまみにも最適です！！

とてもお勧めなので、作り方を説明しちゃいます☆


用意するもの

ホットプレート、油、餃子の皮、チーズ、ピザソースと、お好みの具。（私の家では、ツナ、コンビーフ、玉ねぎ、コーン、アボカド、ウインナー、鶉のたまご、ハム、ジャガイモ、ピクルス、マッシュルーム、スモークサーモンなどなど。好きなもの何でもOK☆　じゃかいもなど、した湯でが必要なものなどは、あらかじめ準備をすませておく。）

作り方

１．ホットプレートに軽く油をひく。
２.ホットプレートを保温の状態にして、餃子の皮を並べる。
３．そこにピザソースを塗り、お好みでぐを乗せる。
４．最後にチーズを乗せる。
５．ホットプレートにふたをして、チーズがいい感じにとけるまで約７～８分待ったらできあがり！！

The seminars

The seminar I talked last time is for my graduation thesis.
I choose only one seminar because I just need one graduation thesis.
But, sometime people can join two seminar because they don't know what They going to write for their graduation thesis. Join two seminar is the maximum, we can't join more than two.

There are 20 seminars in my Uni. Those are write a novel, study about culture, study English, sutudy german, study French and so on.

I am going to join a seminer make movie so I don't have to write a thesis because the film that I will make with other menber is goind to be my graduation thesis.

graduation preparation

hi everyone. sorry for not writing very often.
right now i'm am preparing to graduate this semester. as you might know, i'm currently in the process of writing my graduation project/thesis. the topic is the economics behind airport delays and congestion. boring, right?
to be honest, i can't believe that i am almost finished with university. the time has gone by so fast and there are still more things that i wish i could do here. i'm nervous and excited. the job market here is not great so i will probably just end up getting a part time job somewhere. in the next year or so i will apply for graduate school.
hope everyone is having a good semester!

The seminars sound like they can be a lot of fun. I was in a class in high school that taught us how to shoot and make movies, it was probably my favorite class. I think editing all the video taken into one movie at the end is the best part.

However, I'm a little confused on exactly what these seminars are. Are they strictly for your graduation thesis or can you join for other purposes as well? Also besides the film making class, what other types are at your school? How are they structured differently then other courses at the university?

If some of my questions don't make sense I apologize. My Japanese still needs work so I'm bound to misunderstand something soon or later. However, these seminars sound fun and I'd be interested to learn more about them. Thanks.

みなさんこんにちは☆

今日は少し私の大学生活について書きたいと思います。

アメリカの大学にもゼミってあるのかな？

日本のたいていの大学には”ゼミ”って呼ばれる授業があります。
私の大学では３年目から始まります。
ゼミでは自分の卒業論文を書くために指導してくれる先生を選んで、少人数での授業を通して、それぞれの研究テーマに沿って研究をしていくという、いわば勉強チームです。

ただ、誰でも好きなゼミに入れるという訳ではなく、人数制限がもうけられており、人気があるゼミにはみんなが集まってくるので、入るだけでも大変です。

私は運よく希望したゼミみ入れる事になりました。
そのゼミでは、映画を作製して、それを卒業製作として、卒業できる訳です。
映画を撮れる機会なんてなかなかないので、今からとても楽しみにしています。

みなさんは映画を見る事が好きですか？
私はとても大好きです。
ただ、今までは楽しむだけのために見ていたけど、これからは、一つ一つのカットや場面にどんな要素が含まれているのかとか、もっと深く映画を見なければならないようです。

これまでどうり映画を好きでいられるのかな？少し不安です（●^U^●）

First date☆

We talked about ''First date'' last class.
It was a lot of fun to know dating culture in various countries.
They have own characteristic about first date each countries.
For example, in Cameroon should'nt talk about money on a first date or in England should'nt talk about yourself all the time and so on.....

How about in US???? Do you have like kind of taboo?

I don't know about Japan but I think Japanese people have their own taboo talk themselves.
in my case, about money is taboo.

I think it is rude to ask on a first date and of course about ex-boyfriend or girlfriend too!!!haha

How about the place? Where do you usually to go??
In Japan maybe go to dinner, walk around the park or movie is acceptable.

Special day!

Hello, everyone:)

Do you like to make a plan for the special day?
I like people to surpise so I often make a plan for their special day.

Last week, It's was one of my friennd's Birthday, so me and another my friend made a plan.
It was every one pretend to forgot her birthday and don't say happy birthday until lunch time,
then at the lunch time we had a big birthday party for her.
she looked very sad before lunch because noone said nothind, but when she knew we had ready a big party for her, she was almost cry because she was very happy.

Today, It is my boyfrisnd's birthday.
So I want to do something very special for him, but I don't have any idea.
Do you have any good idea?
If you have, please tell me!

By the way, do you have alumn meeting in US?
I have two alumn meeting end of this year.
One is my elementary school, and other is my higth school menbers.
I am so excited to meeting all my friend who I haven't see long time.
And specialy, we are going to open our time capsule whis elementary shool menbers.
I worte a letter for me and put it in the time capsule ten years ago.
Of cause, I don't remember what I wrote.
I think it very interesting to know what I thinking before ten years.

韓国に行ってきました！！！
私は旅行が本当に好きで、久しぶりの海外旅行だったからとてもたのしかったよ☆★
みんなは知ってるかな？今は円高で日本人がが海外に行くには最高の時期。韓国の経済的にはよくないけど、いつもより高いレートだから今までよりすごく安くお買い物ができるの（＾３＾）★
経済不安が続いてるけど、そんなこと感じさせないソウルの街。たくさんの観光客や現地の人がいてすごくにぎわっていたよ♪

韓国では、アメリカで知り合った韓国人の友達に会ったの！！
みんなで久しぶりに英語で会話しながら食事したよ☆
やっぱり、まだまだ英語ができない自分に悲しくなったけどもっと勉強頑張ろうって思った。。。

ハロウィーン

皆さん、ハロウィーンを知っていますか？子供の時にTrick-or-treatをしました。とても楽しかったです！たいていハロウィーンは子供の祝日ですけど最近大人も祝いします。大学生はパーティーに行きます。みんなはコスチュームを着けています。日本でハロウィーンを祝いしますか？

久しぶりの日記。(How do you spell "blog" in katakana?)

そろそろミシガンに冬が来ますね。日本にいる皆さんはミシガンの冬苦やしさを御存知ですか？よく雪がたくさんたくさん降って、時々バースさえ走れませんよ。そして、毎日はたても寒いです。自分の顔は風によく咬まれます。でも今年に僕が新しい自転車を買って冬の寒さの中で自転車に乗るつもりです。僕は一人だけではなく、バイトでよく僕と話する協力者も自転車でバイトに来ますよ。ひまな時に冬服のことを話します。一番大変なことはミシガンの冬の風ですので協力者がスノーモービルの仮面と手袋をすすめしました。今はまだまだ秋ですから僕ができるかどうか分かりません。
でも、頑張ります。日本の皆さんの冬はどうですか？

Travel

Marina,

That trip sounds like it was a lot of fun. That's nice that you still keep in touch with people that you met on the trip. I went on the Konchiti website and read some more things about the travel agency. I think that would be a fun thing to do, especially in Europe. Did you think riding on a bus for 14 straight days was hard? Sometimes riding in a car or bus for long time can be difficult. Also, you said there was drama on the trip. Is that in a good or bad thing? In America when we say "there was drama", it's usually a bad thing. It means some people do not get along with each other.

Since I've only been to Japan and Mexico I can't really give any recommendation on where you should go. I haven't even really been to that many places in the United State. However, I think Europe would be a lot of fun. It'd really like to go to Italy and Greece one day. If you do go with Konchiti to Europe when will you go? Would you go with a friend this time?

旅行☆

私も旅行は大好きです。

贅沢にお金をかけて、普段とは違う特別な時間を過ごすのも楽しいけど、

寮みたいな安い宿に泊まって、新しい友達を作りながらのようなバックパッカー旅も面白いですよね☆

みなさんコンチキを知ってますか？

日本では最近やっと旅行会社でもパンフレットを見かけるようになりました。

いろんなバックパッカーのツワーがある中で。

私は、旅行先で知り合った友達からコンチキツワーの事を知り、１８になって参加できる年になったとたんに参加しました。

ツワー内容はオーストラリアのゴールドコーストから、ケアンズまでの計１４日間の旅で、参加者は４０人ぐらいだったかな？

半分くらいの人は一人で、その他の人はカップルや友達とのさんかで、なんとツワーガイドとドライバーもカップルでした。それから、日本人は私一人でした。

旅ではいろんなドラマがあって、今でも私にとってはとても特別な時間です。

今だに連絡を取っているひともいます。

次はヨーロッパのツワーに参加できたらと思ってます。

どこかお勧めがあったら教えて下さいｗ（＾＾）ｗ

旅行

僕も旅行が好きです。僕はカナダとメキシコ日本に行ったことあります。いくこ、メキシコの中にどこに行きましたか。まだ、名前を思い出せますか。僕はCozumelとCabo San Lucasに行ったけど、どこに行っても天気がいいだと思います。カナダが本当に近いだから、何回も行きました。それから、ほかのミシガンに住んでいる人のように国際的な旅行じゃないと思います。

日本の旅行は絶対に反対ですよね。ミシガンから名古屋まで十三時間かかってしまったんです。そして、寝ずに電車で彦根に行かなちゃいけませんでした。でも、日本に行ったことがなかったから、きっぷを買い方をぜんぜん知りませんでした。駅員さんがいてよかったですね。一人でできないと思います。面白いことに、駅員さんが僕にきっぷを買ってくれたくせにまだ困っていました。

行き始めて「すみません、すみません！！」が聞こえました。駅員さんは僕のきっぷを振りながら僕に向かって走られました。恥ずかしかったですね。でも、まだまだです。駅員さんからそのきっぷを取る間に駅員さんの白い手袋も脱いでしまったんでした。本当に恥ずかしかったですよ。でも、面白い話でしょう。皆さん、一番行きたい国はなんですか。僕ならまた日本かイタリーだろうと思います。

hockey

last night i went to a hockey game with my friend. it was MSU vs. Northern Michigan. we actually left with 4.9 seconds left and we were the only people leaving! the score was 2-2 when we left. last night was my first time in a long time going to a hockey game or any sporting event at all. i was so surprised at how excited hockey fans were especially when fights broke out or when players were penalized. hockey is not my favorite sport to watch but i still enjoyed the game. hockey is pretty popular around here. do you know hockey? and do you like watching sports?

I've been to Thailand, USA, Mexico, Canada before.
Actually in Mexico and Canada stayed just littele bit.
I went there from US by car. It was long looooong distance from Sanfransisco to Mexico.
I　really like travel!!!! I wanna go many country where is not so popular.

今日は突然ですが、夢？というか将来どんな仕事について書いてみようかな？

みんなは「絶対○○になる！」っていう夢を持ってますか？

私はっていうと…う゛～んm（U.U）m

芸術にかかわっていたい！英語を使いたい！物作りかしたい！
っていうイメージばっかりで、なかなか現実的にこれっていう物がないかな↓↓

きっと自分の中で優先順位がはっきりしてないんだね。

みんなは仕事を選ぶ時何が一番大切ですか？

日本語を勉強してるみんなは知ってるのかもしれないけど、
日本はアメリカに比べるとやっぱりまだ働く女は受け入れられてないと思う。

私の弟はもう社会人で、今の彼女と結婚したいとか言ってるんだけど、
やっぱり、結婚したらお嫁さんには働かせたくないんだって～
私の周りはそういう男の人が多いの！

仕事でも女の子は結局、事務がほとんどで、やっぱりそれじゃあ男の人とちゃんと
肩をならべて仕事してるなんて言えないんじゃない？って思う。


私はもちろんずっと働きたいし、男の人と同じ立場で働けたらいいと思う。

What do you wanna be?

こんにちわ。今私は大学三年生なのでもうすぐ就職活動が始まります。
私は大学でInternational 　Comunication 国際言語コミュニケーションを専攻していますが、簡単に言えば英語です。
就職活動では英語に関われる仕事をしたいと思っています☆
できればアメリカで働けたら楽しそうだなと思っていますが、難しいと思います。。。
何かいい仕事ありませんか？？ｗｗ
私はアメリカで約一年くらい過ごして、アメリカのいいところも悪いところもあったけど、アメリカの自由な文化がとても好きです（＾３＾）☆

How are you?

Today, I want to tolk about a body language.
Isn't everyone had any experience that you ashamed?

I have some! Let me tolk about my story.

I had lived in Australia for 1 year and I lived with my host family.
They were so nice to me.

One day, I tolked them about my friend in Japan.
While I tolked I just remember that I had a photo of her and I.

So, I quickly go to my room and take my photos.

My host father looks very suprize when I saw him photos.

You know why?

Because we were doing closed fist facing inwerd
with index and middle fingers in a peace sign.

whichi is very famous pose among Japanese girls.
Because it makes our face looks smaller!

But in Australia the pose has very bad meaning!
My host father was kindly told me this.

I thougth I should more understand another country's culchers.
